Abstract

Abstractâ??The contribution presents the possibilities of LabVIEW in the special application as formula interpreter by using of the formula node. The main advantage is the immediate presentation of results in case of a parameter modification. The presentation of the time behaviour, the calculation of characteristic values and curves for typical examples of power electronics and control engineering are shown. Author Biography

Eberhard Stefan Brenner, HTW Dresden

Eberhard Brenner was born in Dresden, Germany, in 1947. He received the diploma and the Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Dresden University of Technology, Dresden, Germany in 1972 and 1978 respectively. He carried out research on power electronics, e.g. development of simulation tools for CAD of power electronics circuitry and reliability of frequency converters. Since 1993 he is a professor of power electronics at University of Applied Sciences Dresden, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. His research focuses on measurement techniques of power electronics by virtual instruments. His current research interests include e-learning tools for formula interpretation and simulation with interactive parameter modification.
