In order to find the proper input voltage, afeed-forward strategy with a hysteresis model identification andinversion is proposed. The classical Preisach model in the Everettformulation is used for this purpose and eddy current effects arealso included. A new heuristic inversion offering equalperformance but avoiding a time-consuming identification procedureis also proposed. After an initial identification procedure themodel, its inverse, the heuristic inversion, and the proper inputvoltages for a desired sinusoidal magnetization are computed. Theresulting application achieves accurate results, is easy to use,supplies the user with transparent and clear information, and addsthe flexibility for automation or remote control. ER -
