Considering the power consumed by cooperative BSs, an energy-efficient optimization function is established. This optimization goal is simplified after analyzing capacity of non-CoMP and CoMP. Then the relationship between energy efficiency and cooperative BSs’ number is analyzed. Simulation results show that when the selected number of cooperative BSs is smaller than a threshold, EE increases with the increasing of the number of cooperative BSs and when it exceeds the threshold, EE decreases with the increasing of the number of cooperative BSs.
